In 2020, four program chairs - Joy, Emily, Lisa, and Lory - found themselves grappling with a common frustration. The world of dental hygiene education was painfully lacking in resources. 

Finding courses to teach educators how to instruct their classes was a challenge. 

Educational methodology specific to dental hygiene was scarce. 

There were no platforms where educators could ask genuine questions, nor a space that fostered communication among dental hygiene educators. 

Joy, Emily, Lisa, and Lory yearned for practical, real-world, up-to-date information. 

They wanted a platform that would not just fill the existing gaps but also drive innovation in dental hygiene education.

So, they decided to take matters into their own hands.

Driven by their shared passion for education and a desire to create change, they set out to build the solution they wished to see.
