Ā Dr. Joy D. Void-Holmes is a registered dental hygienist with over 25 years of clinical experience. She holds a Master of Health Science with a concentration in Forensic Investigative Science and Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University. She is founder of Dr. Joy, RDH⢠and co-founder of JELL-ED. Dr. Joy has presented continuing education courses nationally and internationally. She serves as a Consultant Examiner for the CDCA-WREB examining board, board member for the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners and is on the editorial advisory board for Inside Dental Hygiene and clinical advisory board for vTail. Dr. Joy is an active member of the American Academy of Dental Hygiene, American Dental Hygienistsā Association, and the Maryland Dental Action Coalition.
Dr. Emily Boge EdD, RDH, CDA
Ā Educator, inventor, public health advocate, businesswoman, researcher, writer, speaker, farmer, wife, mother āyet always a dental hygienist. Dr. Emily has worn many hats over her 24 years in the dental industry. Dr. Emily takes pride in utilizing her inquisitive mind and honest attitude to lead classes for dental professional licensees, influence manufacturers to listen to dental professionals in product innovation, and support the needs of both educators and students in the field of preventive dentistry, promoting the use of inner accountability, tenacity, and empowerment. Dr. Emily has a passion for education and innovation in the dental industry, along with a focus on common sense and colleague respect.


Lisa Bahr MEd., BS, RDH
Ā Lisa Bahr MEd., BS, RDH is a registered dental hygienist with over 30 years of clinical experience. She is co-founder of JELL-ED providing innovative teaching methodology for dental hygiene educators. She is a professional speaker specializing in educational methodology, flipped learningĀ environments, feedback, lasers, CODA, and student learning. Lisa is a dental hygiene program director holding a Masterās Degree of Adult Education with a concentration in Public Health. She serves as a member of the Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board, and is a CRDTS examiner. Lisa is a certified CPR instructor, as well as a yoga teacher. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienistsā Association and the Wisconsin Dental Hygienistsā Association.
Lory Laughter, MS, RDH
Ā Lory earned a Bachelorās of Science degree from Idaho State University and her MS degree in Dental Hygiene from UCSF. She practiced clinically for 24 years and is currently anĀ Associate Professor and Dental Hygiene Program Director at University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Lory was a columnist for RDH Magazine from 2005 -2017 and authored articles published in the California Dental Hygienistsā Association Journal, Journal of Dental Hygiene, Journal of Dental Education and the American Journal of Infection Control. She is a national and international speaker and dental continuing education provider on topics of instrumentation, inflammatory diseases, insulin resistance, abuse and PTSD . Lory received the 2011 Idaho State University Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award and the 2015 Sunstar America Award of Distinction. She is a co-author of Newman and Carranzaās Clinical Periodontology for the Dental Hygienist, published by Elsevier, Inc. Lory is a member and past president of the California Dental Hygienistsā Association and an active member of the American Dental Educators Association.Ā

Sara brings over 22 years of experience as a dental hygienist. She began her academic journey by earning an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene, followed by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene, and later completed a Masterās degree in Allied Health with a focus on administration and education.
For more than 17 years, Sara has served as a faculty member within the Wisconsin Technical College System. Her career has progressed from adjunct instructor to full-time faculty, then clinical coordinator, and currently, she holds the role of program coordinator.
In collaboration with a software developer specializing in higher education enterprise systems and custom software solutions, Sara co-created Upscale Assessment.
